Classic chocolate chip Toll House Pan Cookies retro recipe
Toll House pan cookies
Yield: 35 bars
Prep Time: 15 minutes
Cook Time: 25 minutes
Additional Time: 10 minutes
Total Time: 50 minutes
Ingredients
- 2 cups unsifted flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup butter, softened
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 eggs
- 12 ounces package Toll House semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 cup chopped nuts
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees (F).
- In a small bowl, combine flour, baking soda and salt; set aside.
- Beat butter, both sugars and vanilla in large mixer bowl.
- Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each.
- Gradually beat flour mixture into butter mixture.
- Stir in chocolate chips and nuts.
- Spread into greased 15- by 10- by 1-inch baking pan.
- Bake at 375 (F) for 20-25 minutes.
- Cool.
- Cut into thirty-five 2-inch squares.
